KSA of KAIST (shortly, KSA), a special high school for students gifted in mathematics and science is looking for competent and sincere foreign teachers as follows:

2. Eligibility
|
 A person with a doctors degree or a masters degree with over 5 years teaching and/or research experiences after the degree.
A person who is versed in English (Lectures must be taught in English.)

3. Preferred qualifications
A person with an official teachers certificate
4. Term of Employment
The renewal of contract is available.
* 2 years (February 1, 2011 – January 31, 2013)
Working hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday (*Working hours can be adjusted by schools circumstances.)
5. Working Condition
Salary (depending on qualification and experience)
* Starting from 40,000,000 KRW per year
Housing: Furnished housing provided.
Entrance allowance: Up to 2,000,000 KRW including airfare, moving expenses, etc.
Severance pay: equivalent to one month's salary.
Compulsory medical insurance: 50% of premiums paid by employer
National Pension: 50% of contributions paid by employer
6. Selection Process
Stage 1: Evaluation of submitted documents (KSA will give individual notice.)
Stage 2: Interview and open class lecture (30mins. each)
- Only for applicants who pass stage 1
- Under unavoidable circumstances, the open class lecture can be substituted with a recorded class or be exempted.
* In case of the impossibility of a face-to-face interview at KSA, the interview can be done using real-time video or telephone.
Stage 3: Interview with the KSA principal (30mins.)
* In case of the impossibility of an interview at KSA, the interview can be done through real-time video or telephone.
7. Required Documents to be submitted
Application [attached KSA form]
Certificate of every academic degree (affixed with the relevant nations Apostille or verified by the local Korean consulate)
One photocopy of passport
2 or more recommendation letters
The final degree thesis (or abstract of the thesis)
Optional Documents (Required after selected for employment)
Certified documents of career and awards
Medical examination report (issued within 1 year)
Criminal record check (issued by the central government of the motherland)
Sealed transcript of the highest level of education (must be issued by the University)
Certificate of degree (Applicants may choose one of the following documents)
- The original copy of the certificate (will be returned to the applicant after making a copy and having it sealed as a legitimate copy)
- The copy of the certificate (verified by a nations Apostille, the Korean consulate or verified by Korean Council for University Education)
- The diploma issued by employees University
- The certificate of graduation which verifies ones obtainment of academic degree (must be legalized through an Apostille)
8. Application Period
Application must be submitted between September 27 and October 22, 2010.
If you cannot submit your application and required documents in person or by mail, you may send them by e-mail. But, when you visit KSA for the interview, you have to submit original copies of them.
If the document is lost while it is being sent by mail, it is the responsibility of the applicant.
9. Important Reminder
Giving false information will result in the termination of the employment contract at any time before or after employment.
If the documents are not properly made out, it is the responsibility of the applicant.
The submitted documents will not be returned and any forms of incomplete documents will not be accepted.
